The hunt for the lost key
Our children’s birthday party program offers something special for adventurous children who enjoy solving puzzles. On an accompanied tour of the Messel Pit, the children follow hidden clues and solve tricky tasks relating to a time long ago, 47 million years ago. They will learn how the Messel Pit was formed and what Europe looked like shortly after the end of the age of the dinosaurs. Solving the puzzles will reveal a combination of numbers that opens a mysterious treasure chest.
Recommended for children aged 6–10.

Approx. 3 km, 60 meters elevation gain, up to 8% gradient.

€130 for 13 people plus €11 for each additional participant (max. 20 participants)

Children’s birthday parties can only be booked for private groups.
It is possible to book additional catering for the children’s birthday party in our bistro. You can choose between a vegetarian and an omnivorous dish.
